Day 1 of 5

Grounding in a storm

When something stressful happens, strong thoughts and feelings can feel like a storm. They pull us away from the people and things we care about, and make it hard to think clearly.

Grounding doesn't make the storm disappear. It helps you hold steady while it passes — like a ship dropping its anchor.

Today you'll practise dropping anchor: noticing what's inside you, connecting with your body, and coming back to the world around you.

Try today

Drop anchor three times today, even when you feel calm. Linking it to something you already do — like making tea — helps it become a habit.

Reflect

When did stress show up today? What did I notice in my body?
